Hailed as a "mail-order magnate" by TIME and one of the "ten most stylish women in fashion" by VOGUE, Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti is the driving force behind the multifaceted world of VIVRE.
With her distinctive, global sense of personal style and her inspirational ability to share her vision with VIVRE readers and customers, Lorenzotti has successfully weathered the fluctuations of a market driven by passing trends and fads. Launched in 1996 as an luxury catalog with a strong editorial point of view, VIVRE now reaches more than two million customers a year through its website, VIVRE.com, beautiful, dynamic and recently updated and revamped. With its signature focus on true, individual style—not passing trends or fashion fads—VIVRE.com offers both new products and timeless favorites each season, together with relevant editorial features, video clips, as well as Lorenzotti's insights and tips, personal favorites, and the people, places and things that inspire her.
In 2007, Lorenzotti started a new chapter at VIVRE with the launch of VIVRE Voyager, with its signature interpretation of style, travel and shopping with a focus on both. Voyager focuses on telling the stories of the people, places and things that inspire us to set off on global adventures. That same year, Lorenzotti opened the first VIVRE boutique, Escape at the Cove in the Bahamas – a collection of exquisitely crafted items for men, women, children and the home.
With pride, confidence, and the courage to take risks, Lorenzotti has redefined the concept of shopping in today’s market. “In offering shoppers a vision of a lifestyle to go with the merchandise," wrote Vanity Fair, "Eva invented a destination of sorts – a virtual consumer getaway.” As a leader in the industry, she is frequently invited to speak and share her passion and insight on the industry and style at such venues as the Harvard Business School Entrepreneurship Conference, the International Herald Tribune Luxury Conference, CNN, CNBC and the Fine Living Channel. She is also a spokesperson for the BlackBerry advertising campaign and a contributing editor for InStyle magazine.
Lorenzotti, whose business acumen was honed when she was an investment banker at the mergers & acquisitions department at Lazard Frères before she founded VIVRE, has been named in Crain’s Forty Under 40, a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
She also lends her expertise to a number of philanthropic efforts, including leadership roles in the Guggenheim Museum's Young Collectors Club, the Henry Street Settlement, and Save Venice Inc. Born and raised in Switzerland and fluent in five languages, Lorenzotti and her husband now reside in Manhattan with their two children.
