Founder/CEO

Hailed as a "mail-order magnate" by TIME and "one of the fashion industry's 10 most stylish women" by VOGUE, luxury marketing luminary Eva Jeanbart Lorenzotti single-handedly redefined the business of direct marketing to the affluent consumer with the creation of Vivre. As an industry trailblazer, she is frequently featured in the media and is a sought-after speaker on the lecture circuit. Her passionate and articulate insight has been shared through venues as diverse as the Harvard Business School Entrepreneurship Conference, the International Herald Tribune Luxury Conference, the American Express Luxury Conference, CNN, CNBC and the Fine Living Channel. A recognized branding and marketing expert, she has advised myriad luxury labels over the years, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of fashion brand adam+eve.

A finalist for the Ernst & Young New York Entrepreneur of the Year Award and a member of YPO International, Eva's business acumen was honed as an investment banker with the mergers and acquisitions department at Lazard Freres, which she joined after receiving a BA from Columbia University. Born and raised in Switzerland, Eva's deep familiarity with the European culture and her multilingual command of five languages has uniquely positioned her at the center of the rapidly evolving international luxury market. Eva also lends her expertise to a number of charity and philanthropic efforts, including leadership roles with the Guggenheim Museum Young Collector's Club, the Robin Hood Foundation, Save Venice, the Henry Street Settlement and the Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse.


James D. Robinson IV, Chairman
Founder / General Partner, RRE Ventures

Mr. Robinson is a Managing Partner of RRE Ventures. He has been active within the technology community for over twenty years as a venture capital investor, banker and entrepreneur.

Since co-founding RRE in late 1994, Mr. Robinson has been responsible for nearly thirty technology investments, and currently serves as Director of Enpirion (power systems semiconductors), iCrossing (online marketing technology), Mixed Signals (digital broadcast monitoring), OpenPeak (home control systems), Orchestria (enterprise compliance software), SmartPay Jieyin (mobile payments in China), Vocera (wireless communications systems), WisdomTree (developer of indexes/ETFs), and is Chairman of Vivre (luxury brand catalog and internet retailer).

While earning his dual degree in Computer Science and Business Administration at Antioch College during the early 1980's, Mr. Robinson worked as a programmer developing networking software for state government, and later founded and was President of IV Systems Inc., a firm that created custom applications for Unix workstations. In 1986, Mr. Robinson joined JP Morgan & Company, where he spent four years working on technology-related assignments, first within the Global Exposure Management group building risk management systems, and later as an investment banker in the Corporate Finance group. Mr. Robinson earned an MBA from Harvard in 1992, and subsequently joined Hambrecht& Quist Venture Capital in San Francisco. While at H & Q he led investments primarily within the software and communications sectors, and served as a General Partner in several investments for the firm.

Mr. Robinson is involved in several non-profit endeavors, serving on the Board of Directors of the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation, The New York Software Industry Association (NYSIA), the New York City Investment Fund's Information Technology Group, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the National Association on Drug Abuse Problems. Mr. Robinson joined the Young President's Organization in 1999, and is a member of the Economic Club of New York.


Paul Jeanbart
CEO, Rolaco Group

Paul Jeanbart is CEO of Rolaco Group Worldwide (including Oryx Finance Ltd). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Sodexho (France), Capital Ltd. (Bermuda), Club Med SA (France) and various others.


Kenneth H. Landis
President, Accessory Network Group LLC

Mr. Landis has been a private investor and held senior management positions in the luxury goods arena for over twenty years. He is currently the President of the Luxury Brands Division of Accessory Network Group LLC, which manufactures and distributes luxury leather goods under the Ghurka and Calvin Klein brand names. Mr. Landis also co-founded Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Inc., which was sold to The Estee Lauder Companies, Inc.

He served as CEO of Benetton Cosmetics Corp., a subsidiary of Benetton Group SpA with operations in 55 countries. He also served as Corporate Treasurer of IMS Health, Inc., a public provider of information solutions to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries with operations in 100 countries. Mr. Landis began his career as a member of the audit and tax departments of Arthur Andersen & Co.

Mr. Landis received his BS degree in Accounting from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School and his MBA degree in Finance from New York University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.


Gilberto Albuquerque
Co-Founder/Bartok Group

A native of Brazil, Gilberto Albuquerque has had over 20 years of experience in the creation and development of brands. Gilberto started his career as a product designer, but soon after started developing retail concepts for a variety of companies.

In 1999, Mr Albuquerque founded his consulting business, Bartok Group, with business partner Myung Choi. Since then, Bartok Group has evolved into a full-service technology and brand development company, catering to the retail, fashion and cosmetics industries.

Prior to founding the Bartok Group, Gilberto worked with such companies as Limited Brands, Henri Bendel, Saks, M.A.C., Garren, Zoran, among others. He also has worked with industry leaders including Les Wexner, Tedford Marlow, Ed Burstell, Clodagh and Angela Ahrendts.

Gilberto holds a B.F.A. in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois.


Jay Harratti
SVP - Strategy & Business Dev., HSN

Jay Herratti is Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at HSN/IAC Electronic Retailing. In this role, he is working closely with the company's senior management to chart HSN's and IAC/InterActiveCorp's course for expansion in the broad world of direct to consumer retailing. His duties include defining HSN's growth and acquisition strategy, prospecting, analyzing and managing potential acquisitions, developing strategic alliances and partnerships, as well as identifying and responding to external market and technology trends.

Before joining HSN, Mr. Herratti was Executive Vice President at Gordon Brothers where he led international expansion for the retail clearance and turnaround specialist. Prior to Gordon Brothers, Mr. Herratti held the position of Senior Vice President of E-Business Strategy and Development for Federated Department Stores. In this role, he led the company's strategy in its direct-to-consumer division, championed Federated's multi-channel integration initiative, and was in charge of its cross-division bridal registry business and its partnership with weddingchannel.com.

Before Federated Department Stores, Mr. Herratti held numerous senior level positions with Boo.com Group Ltd, The Boston Consulting Group and GE Capital. Prior to that he founded and operated "White by Herratti," his own chain of novelty retail specialty stores selling all white apparel and gifts for women.

Mr. Herratti has a B.S. in Business & Management from the University of Maryland at College Park, and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainbleu, France.

A native of Israel, Mr. Herratti currently resides in New York.


Phil Schlein
Partner, U.S. Venture Partners

Phil Schlein joined USVP in 1985 after a successful 28-year career as an operating executive in the retailing industry. For 11 years prior to joining USVP, Phil was President and CEO of Macy's California. Under his leadership, Macy's California sales grew from just under $200 million to almost $1.2 billion; profits grew from $17 million to $108 million. Phil began his retail career with R.H. Macy, Inc. from 1977 to 1984 and served on the Board of Directors of Apple Computer for eight years from 1979 to 1987. Since joining USVP, Phil has originated a number of investments in the consumer/retail sector including PETsMart, Fresh Choice and The House of Blues. In recent years, Phil has been active in the Internet and eCommerce areas, served on the Boards of Directors of iVillage, HomeGrocer.com, NBCi, among others. Phil currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Catalist, Specialtys, Auction Drop and Oakville Grocery.

Phil holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.


Kenneth H. Walker, FAIA
WalkerGroup/Designs

An industry leader in retail design and marketing noted for his ability to blend strategy and creativity into bottom line success. He founded WalkerGroup/CNI in 1970, which became the world's largest retail planning and design consultancy. WPP Group Plc acquired the firm in 1987. Ken founded Retail Options Inc. in 1993. He is also the creator of 01-01-00®, The Mark of the Millennium, which has become the internationally recognized symbol for this global celebration.

Ken has served as the Vice Chairman of FutureBrand, an Interpublic Company, and currently is the Creative Director of Asbury Automotive Group, one of the nation's largest retailers of automobiles.

Ken is a graduate of Brown University and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he earned his Masters in Architecture.

He was elected a Fellow of The American Institute of Architects and is a charter member of the Interior Design Hall of Fame.


David Chu
Designer/Entrepreneur

David Chu first rose to prominence in the eighties with the success of his lifestyle brand, Nautica. It was his interpretation of six sailing jackets, taking technical function and adding the elements that characterize the best of American sporty design that put Chu and Nautica on the fashion map.

From six jackets and his first customers, Barney's, Bloomingdale's and Saks Fifth Avenue, the collection quickly expanded into men's sportswear housed in shops dedicated to Nautica product, image and lifestyle in leading department stores across the United States. In his visionary style, Chu extended the brand to include a complete lifestyle presentation for men, women, children and home here and in Europe, Latin America and Asia, making Nautica one of the first American brands to be truly global.

In 2003, when Nautica was acquired by Vanity Fair Corporation, its worldwide sales were in excess of $1.1 billion In 2004 David Chu left Nautica and established a new company for a luxury men's collection, the first ever under his own name. Today in the David Chu collection, he takes his vision to a new expression of taste, quality and style. It's sophisticated, refined, yet always committed to modernizing tradition and emphasizing performance-a Chu signature that has been his design philosophy ever since he founded Nautica. The collection will launch at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Chu, a passionate traveler, has developed a keen insight into the needs of his fellow travelers. His synthesis of the classic and the modern, American and international influences comes from his own life. Born in China, he came to New York in his teens, Studied in New York and Connecticut high schools and set his mind on becoming an architect. At the Fashion Institute of Technology, where Chu went for summer courses, he was encouraged by his professors to study fashion design.

A graduate of FIT, Chu was named its STAR alumni in 1996. He was also named outstanding alumni of the year in 2005 by the American Association of Community Colleges. Other honors include: United Jewish Appeal - Man of the Year 1998; Divine Design, Los Angeles - Designer of the Year, 1999; U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce, Excellence Award, 2000.

Chu is a former trustee of The Asia Society, a trustee of The China Institute, a board member of the Committee of 100 and an executive committee member of the FIT Education Foundation for the Fashion Industry. He recently co-chaired the benefit gala for the Asian Art Fair in 2005. He is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and C.E.O. (Chief Executive Officers Organization)
